Our walk in Calverton is being created with pupils of the Sir John Sherbrooke junior school as we think it’s very important that at least one of these walks concentrates on the experiences and perspectives of younger people.

Pupils of the Sir John Sherbooke Junior School

We’ve decided on the route that will take in streets where new housing is being built, a path alongside a brook (passing a pond full of enormous carp), the lovely Carrington Lane and potentially dipping into Oxton Woods.

The pupils will be creating stories, poems, contemplations and provocations (as well as providing the listener with some information about aspects of Calverton’s past and present) which they will perform and record.

We’re really looking forward to working on this and of the contributions of around 90 pupils.
